Day 1: Bucharest.
There are many landmarks to visit in Bucharest. Some you can visit:
The Arch of Triumph
It is not magnificent, or at least not as grand as the one from Paris, but a must if you visit
Bucharest.
Parcul Herastrau (Parcul Regele Mihai)- Herastrau Park
It is situated close to the Arch of Triumph
Lovely Park, you can spend there even 4 hours walking around since it is big.
There are some restaurants or bars in the park, including Beraria H or Restaurant Pescarus

Day 2: Old Town Bucharest
There are many restaurants and cafés, shops and you can see the vibe of the city in the Old
part of Bucharest
You can spend 2-3 hours walking around, or more if you like shopping
Probably there are some tourist traps, but usually, in the big cities of Romania, they give
receipts.
The Palace of Parliament
It is the world’s largest administrative building
It has an interesting history:
http://cic.cdep.ro/en/general-presentation/palace-of-parliament-the-building
I liked it when I visited it, but some people might not believe it is worth it, since it costs 10
euros per adult (depending on the price of euro to lei at that point), and you have to ask in
advance (2-3 weeks before) if they have tours available in that period. It requires booking for
groups, but I advise you to call if you want a tour even for less than 10 people, since I heard
that some had the unpleasant surprise of not being able to visit.
Depending on the type of tour, visiting it can last up to 4 hours

Useful information:
Going by car through Bucharest might be difficult since it is very crowded, especially during
rush hour, but if you have patience, it is ok. The drivers might also be rude, but they are
harmless. It is also advisable to avoid hours when people might go to work, for example in
the morning at 8 a.m. or in the afternoon, at about 5 or 6 p.m.
Bolt and Uber are ok in big cities in Romania if you wish to leave the car at home. You need
to install the app
There is a subway system and you could also use the bus or tram system. There is an app
for using the bus or tram system: 24pay. You can also use this app in other cities in Romania
for using public transport.
Many people in Romania understand English, especially in big cities
There are some dangerous neighborhoods which some people advise not to go to:
Ferentari, Rahova or Pantelimon. However, there are no reasons to go there, since there is
nothing to see.
Clubs in Bucharest:
Nuba: I have never been there but I heard that many influencers and famous people in
Romania like it. I don’t live in Bucharest, maybe if I did I would have gone to that club. It also
is a restaurant during the day. It has two locations in Bucharest:
- Nuba Summer Vibes: (Soseaua Nordului, 7-9, in King Michael 1 Park formerly known
as Herastrau Park; summer-only location)
- Nuba White: (Soseaua Nordului, 1, winter-only location)

LOFT: is this cool place in Bucharest that's won awards for being the best Asian & Fusion
Restaurant and best club in Romania! They've got two spots in the city where you can grab
some super yummy food, and then turn up the party vibes later on in the night. Basically,
they've got something for everyone, from fancy lunch options to clubbing it up with awesome
music and parties that go on all year round. At LOFT, they're all about creating great
experiences for their customers and reflecting their lifestyle. Their motto is "The best
restaurant is a club, and the best club is a restaurant", which sums up their vibe perfectly!
LOFT: (Grigore Alexandrescu, 89-97, Metropolis Center, Corp A)
LOFT Diplomat: (Soseaua Bucuresti-Ploiesti, 2B) - summer-only location

Control Club: Control Club is a popular nightspot located near University Square, making it
a favorite spot for locals, especially students. With its mix of bar, social club, and restaurant,
it's no wonder that people of all ages and interests flock to this trendy venue for drinks,
dancing, and good times. Whether you're looking to chat and relax on the patio, hit the
dance floor inside, or grab a bite to eat in the restaurant, Control Club has something for
everyone.

Day 3-4
Brasov: it is a beautiful city in Romania, 3 hours away from Bucharest, but it depends on the traffic
It has a nice city center and you can go on a short hike on the Tampa Peak. It is not difficult,
although this depends on the person you ask. There is also a teleferic to go on the Tampa
Peak. You can see the whole city from there.

Poiana Brasov: it is situated half an hour from Brasov and people like to visit it during
wintertime since skiing is available
During summertime you can explore the nature around
You can go to Poiana Brasov by car or on foot
While hiking to Poiana Brasov, you can start from Pietrele lui Solomon (there is a parking
close by) and follow the indicators.

Useful Information: if you want to use maps in Romania for hiking you can try the app
MuntiiNostri. It might be difficult because of the language, but the maps are useful.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mountains&hl=ro&gl=US&pli=1.
In Brasov you can also visit the old town, which is full of cafes and shops.
In the city center there is a famous church: Biserica Neagra.
The cathedral, a working church, is the main city landmark of historical Brașov, and a
museum open to visitors.
The nightlife in Brasov is not as dynamic as in Bucharest. However in the city center you can
find some clubs like Times Club or Social Pub.
Good places to eat in Brasov are restaurants from the Sergiana group:
https://www.sergianagrup.ro/restaurantele-noastre
From this list, Ceasu Rau is very popular in Brasov and you might need a reservation.
Another place where they have good food and sometimes there are parties at night is
Deane’s Irish Pub, located in the Old Town. https://deanes-pub.ro/
Day 5: Dracula Castle
It is located in the city Bran
It is famous because of the book about Dracula
In my opinion, it is not the prettiest castle in Romania, but for some it is worth the visit
http://www.bran-castle.com/
Bran Castle or Dracula Castle is not far away from Brasov and you can make it a day trip
from Brasov. Although it is not spectacular, if you think that it is interesting, it is easy to get
there.
Day 6-7: If you are coming to Romania in the summer you can go to the Romanian
seaside. You can go by train from Bucharest to Constanta, but the best parties are in
Mamaia for the fancy parties or Vama veche for the hipster student parties. Mamaia and
Vama Veche are cities where it might be hard to get to without a car, there are buses, but not
so frequent and not so easy to find. You could go by taxi from Constanta since it is not
extremely far (you can try Bolt for example), or you can even try to use bla-bla car from
Bucharest or Constanta.
Vama veche is small, but with a crazy night life if you like hipster parties. Some of the best
parties are at Expirat or Stuf. Vama veche is the type of place where you can sleep in a tent
or just on the beach if the weather is good.
Mamaia on the other hand can be fancy and expensive. Some of the best clubs: Nuba
Beach Club or Fratelli Beach and Ristorante.
It might be annoying to go directly from Brasov to Constanta, since it might take even 6
hours by car or more by train. However, they are both nice to visit. If you want to go to more parties and you are arriving in the summer, you might just go to the seaside.
If you prefer hiking in the summer or skiing during the wintertime, you can go to Brasov.
Depending on when you would like to come, there are many festivals in Romania in
Summer time:
- Untold (3-6 August) is in Cluj-Napoca, 6-7 hours from Bucharest by car and 12 by train.
The city Cluj-Napoca is also nice to visit and the nightlife is also good, but the disadvantage
is that it is far from Bucharest. There is a small airport, so you can also arrive at the airport in
Bucharest and leave from Cluj-Napoca if it is suitable for you.
- Electric Castle ( 19-23 July) is near Cluj Napoca in Bontida
- Saga (23-25 June) is in Bucharest
- Neversea (6-9 July) is in Constanta
I have been to Untold and Electric Castle and they were both fun, and the line-up is exciting
too. I heard that the other festivals are good too.
